Los Angeles, California is the city of dreams, the dreams of the people who flock there in search of fame and fortune and the dreams of the world in the form of the world’s most important film industry (sorry Bollywood, you’re not there yet). Los Angeles is the 2nd largest city in the United States and an international financial powerhouse.
There are possibly more famous sights to see in L.A. than in any other American city: Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the Hollywood Sign, the Walk of Fame, the La Brea Tar Pits.
The list goes on. Visitors who want to get a taste of L.A.’s eclecticism and general funkiness should check out the thong-wearing thronged hipsters on Melrose Avenue or the crazy-parade down on the Venice Boardwalk. More traditional visitors should check out the Santa Monica Pier, which is a bit less wacky and features a Ferris wheel with an excellent view of the beach. Los Angeles California is home to some truly unique, top-flight museums. |
